No Elliott? On his performances the last few weeks he needs to be in the squad somewhere.

Elliot does most things better than Chanel, except score tries.

    Too much Yates and King.

Fitz is slowly coming good though.

Article in the Herald says Gagai has been named in the Kangaroos "merit" side after origin, but points out that the world cup squad won't be picked till the end of the season, and will probably be picked on form at that time.
That could work really well for us.
If Gagai want's to be a Kangaroo, all he has to do is play well for the next 5 or 6 weeks - a few origin level efforts and he is in i'd say.

Gagai was Origin player of the series, he could spend the next six weeks passing to the opposition and he's making the world cup squad.

A lot of guys are going to have the rest of the season and a month of finals to impress. If Gagai does nothing for the rest of the year, Mal might still want him anyway, but he'll be no certainty.

Be nice to have the Saifitis start, but don't really wanna be running with a bench of Yates, Stone & Paea who'll get 10 minutes. He didn't make a lot of metres, but if he can start games aggressively like he did against the Broncos, King should stay in the starting side.

Now that Fitzgibbon is used to firstgrade, maybe they could try him in the prop rotation again.
He has played plenty of prop in under 20s and a bit in reserve grade.
We seem to have plenty of backrowers and need a big prop, and Fitzy can do that for 40 minutes or so I think.
When they played him at prop before, he wasn't used to firstgrade, and he was also unlucky in that he had to defend for most of the time he was on, which was a big ask for a young guy.

Stocks are low, try something Fitz is big enough, can't understand Paea lack of game time, share the load, him fresh is better than others tired, hurt or both. From now till end of season going to struggle with pack, King and Yates are goers but not up to it, reserve graders and good back ups. Our so called back ups, Pauli, Mataora, Starling and Stockwell seem to be injured and all likely long term.

Stone was 18th man & I think someone mentioned the other week Feeney had a knee injury.
