Apparently we are signing him before the June 30 deadline.

We talked about signing him prior to season start but nothing happened, now we are desperate for a prop, he is ok, gives his best but not a long term hard hitting prop.

Maybe that sh*t Greenberg said about us being punished for being under the cap is true and we’re desperate to spend money. Otherwise this makes no sense to me.

Jacob is out for most of the season, Brown wants some depth, pretty clear to me. Doubt he'll be kept past this year unless for reserves.

I dont like him but it wouldnt hurt to have another prop in the rotation. Especially that he will be on minimum wage.
In his 2 games this year he has made 53 tackles at 94.8% efficiency. He could be ok.

Hasnt been any good for about 5 years in saying that he probaly offers just as much as king, heighton and lillyman and we are short on props.

    Round 8
    33mins, 58ARM, 24TK, 1MKT
    Round 9
    41mins, 77ARM, 29TK, 0MTK
Average stats but i think the biggest thing for us is he doesnt miss many tackles.
If we get him for $100k he will be ok depth.

He is playing off the bench this week ill give it a watch and see how he goes.

Agreed I think it’s a depth signing seasoned professional they have said heinington is playing more then they wanted so I’d say he would just be a cover prop but would also prob be in our 17 unfortunately

He would probably make our 17 this year.
I hope the only way he would make it next season is through alot of injuries or excellent form.

He single handedly belted our nsw cup sides pack about a month ago, and did the same about a month prior to that as well, made our reserves pack look poor.

Yeah your probably right, though id rather call him up to firsts from our cup side than call up our current reserves.

Think/hope he will be good, need something, not getting Woods and cupboard is bare, wouldn't hurt to have him next season as well

If he comes he will be here next year as well, I just hope we aren't paying him too much!
I am not sure how I feel about this, if he fills a spot this year and is depth/reserves (replace Heighno) next year, then I am ok with it.
We really do need to sign at least one big name prop for next year though!

I picture Broon and Mooney pushing a shopping cart full of cash up and down the isles of the proverbial NRL player store. They clutch a catalogue with a heap of red circles around players they'd like to buy, but the shelves are mostly bare. Every time they spot something exciting, another coach snatches it away before they can pick it up.

There's a markdown bin with a handful of props left in it: most are broken, worn out or made of toxic materials.

They reluctantly pick through the bin, sighing as they put the best of the worst into their cart, and then move on.

Suddenly, they see the manager with something under his arm: they get closer and notice who it is. It's Aaron Woods.

He ticks most of the boxes, he's in their price range. They have a pretty good feeling their kids will like playing with him.

Nah, stuff it, we can do better, Mooney says. Besides, what'll the neighbours think? They're never happy with the toys we bring back to the neighbourhood.
Except Ponga, they remind themselves, he was a bargain.

Rumour mill is saying that he doesn't want to leave Sydney or join a club at the bottom of the ladder.

My guess is that if there's a shortage of serious suitors for his services (try saying that with a lisp), he'll dig his heels in and stay at the Doggies

Would be a solid depth signing, and quite frankly would do a heap better than what King and Lillyman have dished up this year and with Jacob also out for most of the season it wouldn’t hurt. Won’t be the end of the world if we get him for a year.
