I think we'll compete hard again but will fall short 1-12 again unfortunately. Really keen to see SKD have a go and he'll be excited to play against the old club. I'd like to see Gagai play at wing for once and have Elliot in the centres. And I was impressed by King's physicality.

I just couldn't remove Elliot from the team because he's just so solid every week but I get ya. He's a great winger but I really want to see Gagai play a game at right wing! Gagai needs to attack as centre but can't defend anywhere else but wing.

Gagai doesn't need to do anything as a Centre.

Leave him on the wing where he belongs.

Need another bench player, with size, thinking maybe Amey, he has been strong in reserves

Pat Mat or Stocky might get a run too.

Prop is probably a step too far for Pat Mat. They moved him to prop about 3 or 4 weeks ago, obviously because they could see this shortage coming, but even in reserve grade, he doesn't seem big enough to get away with prop.
I suppose it will give the haters plenty more to whinge about if he comes in and struggles at prop.

I think the only answer is to move Fitz, Barnett or both to bench prop and bring Stone or Wardle into the second row.
Pat might be worth a shot on the bench as second row or prop if we are desperate.

Amey is doing great in reserve grade, but he is 21 and as far as I know has done zero training with the firstgrade squad.
You see in the photos of training that Pat Mat, Pauli and even Robson have done some time with the firstgrade squad, but I've never seen Amey.
Being in the part time squad, he probably has a day job to go to.
Maybe it's time to up his pay a bit for the rest of the season and get him training fulltime.

Looks like Fitzy will have to play some prop.
On the one hand, he has looked good at second row and it would be nice if he could keep developing there, but on the other hand, if he makes a go of prop, he really should get a contract as a good squad player to have around.
Jack Cogger is in the squad. Brown has the option to use Lamb and cogger if he wants.

Browny is an idiot for not including a new prop. And against the Roosters of all packs.

I guess it all depends on availability and experience, stocks are low

Paea will get some decent minutes. But I don't look forward to Fitzgibbon & Yates coming on in the middle to halt the Roosters pack. Stockwell or Amey would have been decent options for a 20 or 30 minute spell at least.

Stockwell only played about 15 minutes last weeks after a month or more off.
