This one is very winnable for us. i believe the storm are on the downward spiral and hopefully Billy is out as well.

Krustykraz, I am with you this is very winnable although Storm offers different challenges to the Roosters.

We were so close in the Roosters game - anyone of our injured players could have changed that resault.

Unfortunately I think Slater will be out for a big one if he is named , to reestablish his position in the Maroons.

Our pack vs the storms pack is like watching a
midi boy vs a loaded B double

That I maybe but where there is belief there is hope.

While Lillyman and Hieno don’t have the skill and footwork at the line that the Storm forwards have if they hit hard and straight at the middle with the old “ one , two “ it will condense the D line and give our nippy boys a chance.

Apparently Bromwich is out with Hamstring isssues, Vunavalu is playing without confidence and Chaise is obviously out of sync and short a few runs.

There is hope, I liked the way we are playing at the moment , they appear to be playing for each other, if everyone does their job we compete.

Id be staying away from the middle tbh.

Game plan of playing on the edges and down the short side with a lot of ball movement in short passes plus kicking early for touch.

krusty did you happen to see the Storm yesterday? Still think they are on a downward spiral?

Don't think Benny and the Doncs would agree with you.

As much as I'd like to agree, the refs won't let their golden children lose to us.

Like it or not you have to send traffic up the middle to draw the D line in tight, then hit the edges with speed and sharp plays.

Broncs had them when they did this but went away from it in the second half.

Broncos also have a very good forward pack.

Ours pack in the middle is a one piece band atm, we are also very small compared to the storm pack.

You said something about the one two punch of Lillyman and Heighington, that hasnt happened all year mate, why would they be able to dent a pack that has 20kg on them per player in the front row??
2 6ft 100kg men vs 2 6'6ft 120kg men hmm we know how that will end.

I’ll be happy if we don’t get a touch up! But we kinda need to win this and the next few to be a chance of finals footy

I can't see finals footy from here, and at the start of the year most were tipping a near finals footy finish around 10th. That is about where we are tracking to finish I think. Which is a fair effort for our first real year of pushing our way up the ladder.

Can't see us getting this one, Storm just have too much class and experience across the park.

I will be looking for them to show the same commitment in D they did against the Roosters to keep that team cohesion going for when we get a few easier games coming up.

Hard to be confident against the Storm but I guess now is good a chance as we will get.

Our defence has looked better the last two weeks but the Storm will be a much greater test.

We were short of depth and quality players to start the season and now injuries are really hurting us.

Melbourne are uncharacteristicly up and down this season. We were unlucky in Round 6 that we copped their best 80 minute performance.

If we play with the same effort and defend like Saturday night we’ll definitely compete. Hopefully Slater is out and Bromwich got hurt yesterday too didn’t he? If they’re both missing I give us a huge chance.

Slater said he was still unsure if he would be fit for origin 2. hopefully that means hes out this weekend.
Bromwich being out would be a massive bonus.

Yes i do. that game was nothing special.
We also beat the Broncos this year so under the right conditions i believe we can beat the Storm also.
The Storm are playing no where near the level they did last year.
But i also wouldnt be surprised if we get beaten well.
All depends on which 2 teams turn up.

Gee Brandon Smith is a nugget of a thing. He was hard to handle for the donkeys. Must have some decent core strength.
