    this probably goes against every fibre of my being but I cannot help but feel happy for Maitland and their resurgence in the Newcastle comp...now bring back Waratah-Mayfield...again...

    I don't remember that, but I remember Matt Gidley sustaining the same injury at some point. Even Burgundy himself would be speechless if he sustained that injury!!!

    Quigley was a top player, since he debuted in 2003 I'd have thought he had a few years ahead of him ... it's a shame if he has to retire.

    Of the locals that came through in 2003-2005ish, he was always one of the most talented, I thought. Just a shame he had Buderus ahead of him!

    I was there, up the pickers! Even though I follow wests. Btw massive crowd there swear there was a good 10k there.
