@Billy read quite a few comments saying Starling owned him in NSW cup. Does Woolford have more of an upside?

Strengthens one of our weaker positions. Could definitely be a threat to Levi’s FG spot.

Starling is 2 or 3 years younger and is a better defender, has a bigger motor and is all round a better lower grades player.
I think all Woolford has over him is 15 or 20kg and 4 or 5 inches.
Time will tell who turns out better.
I'm a big fan of both. Both are very smart and skilful - Woolford has the size - Starling has the toughness.
I don't know where Starling will be next year, but if he shows up in firstgrade I won't be surprized at all.

Starling rightly stuffed his time to shine on debut this season may have cost him a contract.

One mistake in about a 15 minute cameo. If that cost him a contract he should feel bloody hard done by.

Being the best player on the field in the Flegg semi final that was his last game for us wouldn't have hurt him. There were a lot of good players in that game, and every scout in the league would have been watching keenly.

I thought he stunk in that game. That one mistake you talk about was a howler.
PS I am a fan of him just not that game.

He threw 1 dud pass....... The bloke deserves a contract imo. He would put Klemmer on his back in a wrestle and klem wouldn't know Wtf happened.

Everything he did was fine, outside of one **** pass. Brown said he got a pass mark, I just think we don't have room for him when we're trying to sign quality players in limited top 30 spots.

Just rubbing salt in to the bulldog wounds now.

Nah, we won't be trading any players for Klem, in fact, we'll take that bloke off your hands also.

Yes mate dead right I have watched Starling play quite a few times and he has the heart of a lion but like Yates size is a problem for them . I wouldn't be surprised if he plays 1st grade somewhere either and I hope he does .
