Thought this deserved it's own thread. Finn was found unconscious at his mates place and is in an induced coma in the John Hunter Hospital. Thoughts are with him and his family. Barry Toohey posted in his latest article.
Jake was in our part time squad this year and played 1 or 2 games before he was injured. He was a cult hero in our juniors - nicknamed Fridge, or Fridgey, he made more barnstorming runs as a prop than any other junior I can remember. He was awarded the Carlsen/Johns award as our best junior. He played for Australian Schoolboys alongside BJ Luliea. He was captain of our under 20s when Garth Brennan was coach, but after a dispute with Brennan he went to Canterbury for his last year of NYC, and in his first year of seniors he was starting prop in Canterbury's premiership winning reserve grade side. Canterbury cut him and he came back to Newcastle to play for Wests, and has been in and out of our part time squad for the last few years.
