Had a feeling this might have been a possibility, sounds like it could be getting some traction.
Could be another case of the Mole rumour mill, but who knows...

Fed-up Parramatta Eels to part company with troubled five-eighth Corey Norman: The Mole

Take it as read the Corey Norman won’t be at the Eels next season - and the big-spending Knights are making a move to sign the troubled playmaker.

Despite his obvious talent, Norman has burned his bridges at the Eels and the club is prepared to cut him loose for 2019 - if not sooner.

His old club Brisbane remains an option, but the Knights are making a sneaky bid to entice him up the F3 freeway.

Norman has plenty of talent but has under-performed this year - and his continual off-field ‘issues’ have proved too much for the Eels to tolerate.

Brilliant player when he's on his game. Would hope moving up here would chill him out off-field.

Pearce, SKD, potentially Ferguson. While I think Norman would be a great option outside of Pearce and it would make our team that much stronger having a third option and point of attack. All these blokes with history of causing trouble we could be tempting fate a little too much.
Throw some behavioural clauses in his contract and give him a year deal with an option of another. Watson to permanent utility spot.
Sign ferg Norman and another few decent props and I think we can genuinely challenge for a top 4 spot if it all works

    Huge if though

Brown did say he wanted a half and 2 center/wingers and a few forwards didnt he? And with Lamb/Cogger gone we definitely need an expeienced back up half.

I don’t think Norman is coming to be our back up half

Watson off the bench as utility?

    1 Ponga
    6 Norman
    7 Pearce
    14 Watson

Just a week ago Brown said while they're always interested in quality players that come onto the market, he expected that Norman would field a few lucrative offers from other clubs, which came across as it's not our biggest priority to sign a 600-800k five-eighth. So I'd be pretty surprised. He's always come across as just a good bloke, larrakin type in interviews & stuff but I just don't trust the guy to behave after all his controversies.

Still has a year to go on his deal and Parra want him gone so might get him at a reduced rate.

Media beat up I reckon. Every player hitting the market we are apparently making a big play for.

He doesn't really fit the team, Brown has made it clear he wants to go with Pearce/Watson combo in the halves and with Pearce getting injured that hasn't been given time to gel and see if it is truly working.

If Watson is going to a bench spot to cover all spine positions which would be smart, would mean Levi out completely, Griffin cleary is Browns first choice, what about Buhrer, do we carry two small bodies on the bench?

Interchange might be dropping down which would allow smaller reserves.

I just can't see it happening, it goes against the team structure Brown wanted to build.

Sione , Buhrer , Levi and if Glasby plays lock , Barnett all looking for a bench spot along with Jacob and if we buy a couple more big props those as well
Its looking more and more like Buhrer will be out of here ...If we buy 2 more Props its all getting very interesting they are all going to have to play well to push for a spot .

You would think if Norman coming here, Levi's days as a knight are finished, Watson will take a utility spot on the bench and if we do get a few injuries in the forwards we can always move Watson to fullback and put Ponga in the middle.

Won't really have a need for Buhrer either.
