Talk online about Munster being fired by Melbourne. Prime example. How long would he be a free agent for?

Not that I think Melbourne are going to fire him.

NRL.com are reporting so their must be some substance to it but I don’t see it happening. At this point of the year too who would have money for Munster? He would command upwards of 500k a season plus most clubs have settled on their halves by now. The Broncos might look at him for 2019 thou if their current halves don’t work out.

That’s true but I doubt Munster will be keen to move out of the halves now.

That's strange. The storm only came out and defended him a few days ago. Big 180 if true.

Smith supposedly is furious with Munster and is unhappy that he has not cut out the sort of behaviour like what is said to have happened during the World Cup. NRL.com have an article in it detailing some past issues with smith and Bellamy.

Reading the articles, maybe we don't want him here. Sounds like people who are involved with him from club level through to rep level think he's a ****wit.

He played the trial today, if Melbourne were looking to get rid of him, no chance he plays today.

i rate him, but from reports he goes against the culture brownys trying to build. In saying that from the statement the storm put out it seems like it could be a storm in a teacup type of situation, no pun intended.

They put out a statement saying they aren't going to release him, but I read they're going to get him professional help. I wonder how bad his character has to be for them to take such measures? Seems pretty out there. But clearly there's something going on there. With talented players, it's smart to take all steps possible to get them on track before taking drastic action, just need to work things out & manage their personalities.

Munster has been in their first-grade set up for at least 4 years now, so they all know him pretty well & if Cameron Smith really is fed up with him after all this time, you'd have to think it's only a matter of time before things come to a boiling point.

There's nothing wrong with his character. Hes a young bloke with cash who loses his discipline after a few beers and is guilty of nothing more than wanting to have some fun

The Storm is an overly strict system. No doubt it has its benefits. But if you're like Greg Bird and you just wana smash tinnies, sheila's, throw dummies and go under the sticks like an absolute mad dog, then move to the bloody Gold Coast son!

smiths got maybe 2 years left, munster has what 10+ and is the calibre of player you can build the next generation around, hypothetically if push come to shove would you tell smith to just **** it up??
Edit dont know why s.u.c..k is asterixed
