"Kenny-Dowall has fuelled suggestions another off-contract player, former Roosters teammate and close friend Blake Ferguson, could join him at the Knights next season.

"He's a great football player, and I think what we are creating here, he'll fit in," Kenny-Dowall said.

"We've had a few chats and he is pretty excited, but that's something that he will have to decide for himself."

That looks a million times better than the dumpster fire situation in the outside backs of late.

It's weird because pre-tinks we were so strong in the outside backs but rubbish in the spine, totally reversed this year.

we have gone from no one wanting to come here to guys like Fergo, guerra etc wanting in! Its a good feeling for a change!

Points galore in that backline.

Add to that a few props to help lay the platform and we are well on our way to that premiership window.

Why the hell not, seems to be much much improved off field and on the filed. We need a backup fullback as well and Sio needs to go he is too slow!

He is a very stupid man.
But so was Willie Mason, and eventually he learnt to behave half civilised.
If he is genuinely not drinking and living the life of a family man it couldn't hurt.

Mason got absolutely munted with us. That I know.

Luckily he was seen as a cuddly teddy bear in the media at the time when he got pulled over for drink driving before rocking up to training. Stone did well having the balls to get rid of him when the majority of fans wanted him to stay.

Yup. Most football players aren't known for their intellect or brilliant life-choices. However, due to their ability to play a game well find themselves earning insane salaries.
So although there may be propensity for stupidity in the realms of your average-joe, they're smart enough to clean up at the bank.

For most of us, age and family responsibilities help mellow things out. If Ferguson has gone down that road and is committed to making healthy decisions it could be a mutually beneficial relationship for us all. Positive headlines rather than scandals are much more appealing.
