As far as I can tell we will have 12 teams that are basically the same as the 12 ISP sides - so 11 NSW sides plus Warriors. Some games will be double header games with ISP games.
    We had our summer squad posted in the other thread;

We also have 6 under 20s training with the senior squad - Ponga, Brodie Jones, Tom Starling, Pasami Saulo, Matt Cooper and Brayden Musgrove. Very unlikely that Ponga will play under 20s, but we have such a strong squad, the other 5 might.

Don’t understand why there’s only 21 rounds, 35 minute halves and no games televised. Didn’t want to watch our juniors progress anyway.

It's pretty much just a higher age group of Harold Matts & SG Ball now, reserve grade is returning to highest priority, all the best juniors should find themselves there.

It will mostly be 18 year olds and a few 19 year olds you would think.
We also had 5 or 6 17 year olds training with them in the off season - I think they have gone back to the Ball squad, but if they are good enough i'd expect them to get some Flegg games.

The Flegg side for the Maitland trial.

    1.Matt Cooper,
    2. Lachlan Farr,
    3. Brayden Musgrove,
    4. Mitch Andrews,
    5. Justin Worley,
    6. Kye Hopwood,
    7. Nash Birch,
    8. Henry-Siriah Fuimaono,
    9. Tom Starling,
    10. Jirah Momoisea,
    11. Kurtis Dark,
    12. Beau Fermor,
    13. Brandon Russell.
Interchange. 14. Tex Hoy, 15. Elijah Rasiga, 16. Matt Moon, 17. Ofa Manuofetoa, 18. Tevita Alifa, 19. Jack Cameron, 20. Joe Bromage, 21. Will Davies

Matt Croker and Luke Huth must be injured or have some schoolboy commitments.
I've never heard of most of those forwards, but the backs should be fantastic. All the back 5 played NYC last year and 4 of them were stars, and Farr looked like he could be anything when he got fit - the guy is massive - tallest player at the club at 201cm.
The halves are pretty makeshift - Nash Birch played some NYC last year as a hooker and was pretty good, but he played in the halves in Mathews and Ball and was pretty good. Hopwood I thought was a forward.
Any team with Tom Starling in it will go OK. In the first 3 rounds of NYC last year he was the best under 20s player I've seen ever, and since then he has played most of a season of reserve grade, where he was a star, and a firstgrade off season. I reckon he's good for 50 tackles and 150 metres, and i'm not exaggerating, he just about did that a few times last year.
Tex Hoy at 14 won't be there as a hooker. He might play in the halves at some stage.
Pasami Saulo and Brodie Jones are in reserve grade, and Crossland, Madden, Baker, Gardner, Alexander etc are all guys who trained with Flegg but are now playing SG Ball.
Looking at the forwards on google Henry-Siriah Fuimaono has done 2 years of NYC at souths, Jirah Momoisea, Beau Fermor, and Elijah Rasiga were all at the Storm last year and Tevita Alifa was in the Titans system but didn't play NYC last year.

Nights are going to have to be at there best v Parramatta 20s.
    Not all
parra boys are fit and playing, but from what iv read in the squad of 40 players. Mind you majority of there squad 90% are still only 18yo-19yo
consists of 12 Australian school boys over past 2 years. 8 Nz u18s players & 9 Nsw origin players.
    That's a fair squad.

But I'm confident our Knights boys will be ready. Its only a trial but I'm sure come round one our team will be ready to rumble. Cant wait for tomorrow. See you al there. Go Knights

Did any body see Mcintyre play for the Tigers in Cairns last week?
Heard his first grade debut was pretty good!
    Defence spot on!
Attack was pushed aside by the boys trying to get a spot in the main team!
Starting in ISP tomoz second row next to chris Mcqeen!

A lot of the players look fitter.
Nash Birch was a chunky hooker last year. This year he looks very fit and athletic. If it wasn't for the blonde hair it would be hard to recognise him.
Lauclan Farr has also slimmed down a lot. I thought he was a prop forward when I saw him run last year, but now he looks like a very tall athlete.
Mitch Andrews has grown a bit taller and now looks like an athlete as well. Musgrove looks small compared to Farr and Andrews, but they all look fit.
Matt Cooper has bulked up with his firstgrade preseason and looks much better for it.
Some of the new forwards are very big boys.
Tex Hoy has also bulked up - no longer a slim kid.
Tom Starling is a ball of muscle and never stops working in both attack and defence. The everready bunny.
It really looks like the whole team has trained really hard.
A good win against the 2017 NYC premiers is a great start, but you can see that Lowrie has a big squad and is still looking at settling on his best side.
