It all comes down to which side has a lot of luck - but it is a lot of fun, and the best thing about it is that a lot of young and fringe players get a good payday, which probably makes it possible for them to be professional players. At some stage someone will work out tactics and skills that will make the game a real sporting contest, but just now they all throw the bat like mad things and the side that has the run of the ball go their way wins.
Thanks mate I've been so tied up in the Test matches that I haven't been updating this thread but I'm going to get on top of it now
How is this for a shocker, Marcus Harris given LBW and it pitched outside leg and was missing the stumps both by a fair margin WTF was the umpire watching
Quite amazing the lack of performance to date from the much vaunted Stars and usually reliable Hurricanes. Thanks for all this work you do roughie!
Head, Wade charged with conduct breaches cricket.com.au 03 January 2018 Adelaide captain Travis Head and Hurricanes signing Matthew Wade have both been charged with code of conduct breaches for their respective send-offs during KFC Big Bash League action in recent days. Both Head and Wade were reported for breaching CA's Code of Conduct Article 2.2.11 – where the facts of the alleged incident are not adequately or clearly covered by any other Level 1 or 2 offences, conduct at any time that either: (a) is contrary to the spirit of the game; (b) is unbecoming of a representative or official; (c) is or could be harmful to the interests of cricket; or (d) does or could bring the game of cricket into disrepute. Head was charged during the New Year's Eve clash against Brisbane Heat in Adelaide, when the visitors' opening batsman Jimmy Peirson was dismissed. As per the CA Code of Conduct procedure, Match Referee Steve Bernard considered the umpires' report, and proposed a sanction of a reprimand. The umpires deemed Head diverted towards Peirson following his dismissal, displaying behaviour that could be deemed harmful to the interests of cricket or bring the game into disrepute. Head admitted the offence and accepted the sanction, no hearing was required. Wade was charged for his send-off of Sydney Thunder's English opener Jos Buttler during the New Year's day clash at Spotless Stadium. The umpires deemed Wade significantly deviated from his line towards Buttler after running him out, displaying behaviour that could be deemed contrary to the spirit of the game. As per the CA Code of Conduct procedure, Match Referee Bob Stratford considered the umpires' report, and proposed a sanction of a reprimand. Wade admitted the offence and accepted the sanction, no hearing was required. The two offences come just one day after Heat superstar Chris Lynn and Melbourne Renegades veteran Brad Hogg were charged for different offences in the BBL, while Perth Scorchers batter Nicole Bolton was also charged for showing dissent at an umpire's decision during her side's Rebel WBBL match against Sydney Sixers last week. http://www.cricket.com.au/news/trav...bash-hurricanes-strikers-send-offs/2018-01-03
