If Bruce hosts any of it worse.

If it's just foxtel coverage on 7 like the A-League on 10 then we are stuffed too

I think foxtel is failed business model based on 80s technology when we are now approaching 2020s I think any sport woman's , men's etc that is broadcast on this model will suffer significantly

Should of sold the lot to Optus Sports like Premier League if they wanted to shake things up

Can't see 7 and Foxtel improving coverage on what c10 and c9 already had

I think we will get a reduced access to cricket and that will hurt in a rebuilding phase

Anything to hopefully get rid of Mark Nicolas from my screen is a good thing by me. Geez I hope fox don’t sign him up.

I think it will be irrelevant who commentates because Cricket Australia have followed the ARU down the path towards the pit of despair and Sutherland should resign for negotiating this. I have no confidence that this will be in the best interest of Cricket especially at a time it needs to rebuild credibility. BBL will become super rugby and the Australian Cricket team from being the number one marketing team in country will be walking backwards like the Wallabies before them.

IN A historic first, Fox Sports will broadcast every cricket match Australia plays from the beginning of the 2018-19 season.

Here’s everything you need to know.

WHEN WILL THE FOX SPORTS DEAL WITH CRICKET AUSTRALIA KICK IN AND HOW LONG DOES IT LAST?

Fox Sports and the Seven Network’s six-year deal with Cricket Australia will begin at the start of the 2018-19 summer.

WHAT DOES THE DEAL COVER?

Fox Sports’ exclusive TV rights:

Every home Australian men’s one-day and Twenty20 international

16 Big Bash League matches

Prime Minister’s XI and Governor-General’s XI matches.

13 JLT One-Day Cup matches per season

Sheffield Shield final

Fox Sports and Seven Network’s simulcast TV rights:

Every home Test

All Big Bash League matches (16 broadcast exclusively on Fox Sports)

23 Women’s Big Bash League matches

Allan Border Medal and Belinda Clark Award night live

Fox Sports has secured digital rights to all cricket, in partnership with Cricket’s Australia’s digital arm, Cricket Network. This will give Australian cricket fans the opportunity to live stream matches on any device, anywhere.

HOW DO I WATCH ODIS AND TWENTY20 INTERNATIONALS?

Fox Sports will be the exclusive broadcaster of Australia’s men’s team’s ODIs and Twenty20 in Australia. The Southern Stars’ matches will be simulcast with the Seven Network.

WHAT DOES THIS MEAN FOR THE BIG BASH LEAGUE AND WOMEN’S BIG BASH LEAGUE?

Twenty-three Women’s Big Bash League match will be simulcast on both Fox Sports and the Seven Network. Sixteen Big Bash League matches will be broadcast exclusively on Fox Sports, with the remainder of the tournament to be simulcast by the two networks.

WHO WILL THE COMMENTATORS BE?

Fox Sports is yet to announce its commentary team, but Foxtel CEO Patrick Delany has promised “a revolution of energy, quality and commentary.”

WHAT IS FOX CRICKET?

Following in the footsteps of code dedicated channels Fox Footy and Fox League, Fox Cricket will be entirely focused on the country’s national sport. So far Super Saturday has been announced and a new line-up of shows will be developed. Watch this space.

I enjoy watching BJ and AB working together on FOX.

I think AB is the grey hair FOX was referring to.

Interesting to read that Fox and 7 are paying 250 million a year on this when 9 was paying 80 million and 10 was only around 20 million, 9 now paying 60 million for tennis which is massive for tennis as 7 had only paid 40 million tennis

Channel 9 apparently only made a profit when they had Ashes which they have the next Ashes series still as it's in England and Antisyphoning

So if 9 couldn't make a profit and Fox only have less than a 10th of the viewers available even if they get 25% increase in viewers it looks like 9 will get rights back next time around for a fraction of what they had it because 7 and fox will be broke

The way they were talking in the press conference, you will be able to watch tests on 7 or fox and both will have different commentators, so you get a choice.
One dayers will move to Foxtel by the sound of it - which is a loss.
I suspect a lot of big bash will move to Foxtel too.
Foxtel will have a 100% cricket channel.
Womens cricket will get a lot of free to air time.
Foxtel are also saying they will stream most content, so I assume you will be able to buy content game by game or bundles for devices.

I read on Fox Sports this morning that cricket matches will be uninterrupted and add-free on their network.

It will be great to watch games without adds between overs.
