Jarrod Mullen suspended by the NRL after testing positive to steroids

If his b sample is positive too than that should be grounds to tear up his contract and the club should take it one step further to send a real message and exile from the club entirely ensuring he plays no part on old boys day etc.

That's a bit unfair re old boys day, didn't Robbie O and Maddog get done for the same thing? Banish him this year but I don't think we should forget what he has done for the club previously

He took the drug before it was classified as a banned substance iirc

Test done 29th November. Masteron can be detected for 3 weeks. Not that difficult to come up with a reasonably accurate guess when he allegedly used.

The list of overpaid pretenders is getting shorter and shorter.

Korbin - gorne
Mullen - gorne
Gagai - off-contract
Randell - off-contract
Hodko - 2018 yuck
Chanel - 2018 yuck
Pat - 2018 yuck

If he wasn't an athlete, that would be pretty standard treatment for the injury he had.

The mad dog one is a bad example due to him using it for health issues but let's not mice words here what he has done is extremely disrespectful to the fans and to his fellow players particularly after the last two years. The club needs to distance themselves and send a clear message to every player not just at the Knights but in the NRL if you take steroids tha you will be exiled from not just the game but the rugby league community.

If the NRL is only one thing it's consistent. Those drug cheating Sharks had there suspension backdated and only sat out 3 weeks so we can be sure Mullen, if found guilty, will receive the same treatment... ha ha ha ha!

I always said Mullen had the best biceps in the game and I was always thought he might be on the juice.
He's just lucky he got caught this late in his career.
I hoped he saved his $$$ cause he won't be playing nrl again.

Careful you don't fall off that high horse. The doctor will likely prescribe you steroids to help with your recovery, just like they would have done for Mullen had we not had this ridiculous hysteria over "performance enhancing" drugs. In fact that could be exactly what has happened here. Crazy thought but maybe wait for some facts instead of making hysterical conclusions.

Wow, words cannot express how upset i am right now. i couldn't imagine a worse way to end a career after years of setbacks for a player who could have been something .... Whether you like him or not he truly is Newcastle and i could imagine his disappointment right now

Players need to know what they can and can't take so saying a doctor may have given it to him is a rubbish way shifting responsibility off Mullen. He may well have violated his terms of employment he and he alone is responsible for that. Let's not forget this cloud will now hang over the reputation of all our players and that's who we should be worried about here particularly young players.
