I really didnt see him lasting much longer in all 3 forms of cricket tbh.

Yep. Don't really care much about 2020, if he was going to quit one, then he's chosen the right form of the game.

Actually now that you all mention it, he isn't too good in 2020 anyway. Keeping him in test matches should be a priority. Captain or not.

Could you blame him? I think he's done the right thing. I find the T20's the form of cricket for those who weren't into the sport to start with.

Yeah I agree with most of the above. Pity that money and outsider interest is changing the sport.

Hope Ponting can defy his critics and hold onto his captaincy of the test team.

Well he wasn't really that good in 20/20 matches, and Clarke (I think) has not lost a game in 20/20 while captain.

ponting is one of my most hated players in the australian cricket team if only he would retire from all forms but unfortunately he said he wants to captin the team in the next ashes series hopefully after that he retires!!
