played league for 11 yrs, cricket for about 10, use to do athletics at a young age but im not really into individual sports. Had a crack at some social basketball, indoor cricket and tried to play as many school sports as possible.
Might seem like a lot, but atm im too lazy and doing nothing  i wanna get into touch footy or sumthing though, get the fitness up again.

I used to play basketball in both primary and high school, from year 3-4 upwards until I was in year 12. I'd love to go back and play.
Our family, all four of us, have played hockey locally at one time or another, as have my aunties. We have tried to get my soon-to-be sister-in-law to play, but that's like pushing crap up a hill...
At uni I dabbled in a bit of touch football, but not with much success.
Did play football for three years in primary school, but changed back to hockey in high school.
I play darts as well, my team is playing in this week's C Grade Grand Final, but it's not much of a sport, I have to admit.
Mum insisted we all play a sport after school. She reportedly played basketball while being pregnant with my younger brother, and may have done the same with me.

Actually, I rarely get on the p**s...I've never had a beer at a darts game, and the only time I've ever drunk anything at a darts do was when they put money up at the bar at the presentation.

That's true. A drink every now and then is alright, but you can't be legless 24/7...
Many a person has tried to let TKR7 know that its uncool but he never lets up.
When he spews up all over himself/books/someone's games console, you know someone's in trouble...

Same. I remember seeing someone down in Tassie smash the roof with a bowling ball when I was with my school back in year 10...could'nt help laughing...
Poker counts as sport right?
Not in my book! If you can sit down, get drunk, get fat while playing the game, then it is NOT a sport. So poker, darts, and professional computer gaming are not sports. Neither is competitive eating, that's just booking your ticket to an early grave.:lol::lol:

I hate this new forum bit its too far down on my page I always forget its here!.
So anyway the amount of times I've been on my butt, knees, face down on the lane is not even funny. Especially when you bowl in a little skirt  My friends called me stunt woman because I fell so much.
Same. I remember seeing someone down in Tassie smash the roof with a bowling ball when I was with my school back in year 10...could'nt help laughing...
Were you holidaying in Tassie? Launceston or Hobart? One of my friends threw a ball through the roof too and another got stuck on his thumb, went flying through the air, down the side alley and out the back door into the grass. Funniest ever but the poor guy was so embarrassed

I was on a school excursion in Year 10 (2000), can't remember where it was exactly, but it wasn't in Launceston or Hobart to the best of my knowledge. It had a mirrored roof, and that got smashed by someone (not in our group) as we were getting ready to go back to where we were staying.

I'm not sure. They don't publish the ladders until the end of the season.
The Scone Hockey comp has 4 men's teams, and 6 women's teams. It's all based in Scone, but we do have teams from Muswellbrook (1 men's, 2 women's) competing, as their old comp (the former Upper Hunter comp) collapsed.
The former Upper Hunter comp had teams from Scone, Muswellbrook and Denman, and we had to travel just about every other week. People from Scone really hated the long drive to Denman, and reportedly, that was one of the main reasons why Scone split from the Upper Hunter. Muswellbrook was centrally located from Scone and Denman (approx. 30 minutes either way).
So, to finally answer your questions, not far. Just 10 minutes from my place.

Btw, just out of curiousity, do you find that in girls football that the older you get, the more b*tchier the players get?
Cause a similar thing happens in the boys leagues, there has almost been a fight in every game I've played this season

My team is having a late season charge, we are last but we just had our third win in a row in a goalfest 6-4 result. They even gave me the opportunity to score the penalty and I nailed it in. Got it just under the crossbar with my magic left foot. Also set up our last goal. The good thing about church based comps is you don't have the jerks that run the local clubs & I've enjoyed much more success in this comp.

When you get older, everyone in every sport gets angrier and angrier. Not sure why.
There was the odd brawl on the cricket field back in NZ, and I don't even play a high grade. I'd just sit down and have a laugh at the fools haha.
Maybe it is because the older they get, they know they will never reach any great heights in their sport and they are frustrated?

I think you could be right. Our local hockey association had to warn people about conduct after a few heated games recently.

Drew 1-all today at Berro, means we actually win something, the wooden spoon!
Ref and linesman were cheats. He called 3 of our goals offside but they were onside easily and they scored with a minute to go and the striker was 3m offside.
We should have finished them off earlier but the for christs sake, when will Northern NSW football get some decent refs/linesman ffs

We won our major semi final today :D
We were up 1-0, scored like 15-20 into the game, then like the last 5 mins off the second half Umina scored, so we went to 20min extra time.
No one scored the first half of extra time , then about 3 minutes into the second half one of our mids put a great shot at, keeper got hands to it but couldn't save it.
Was so happy, but so hard to keep Umina out haha, that's when i hate being defense, just really glad it didn't go to penalties :s
Umina play budgiwoi in the final, i really really hope budgi win, can't see it happening though unfortunately lol.

Well, our hockey team's season is over, one week later than expected. Lost our final 2-1, we kept the other team scoreless in the second half, just couldn't score that second goal.
After the regular season we had, it was a respectable way to finish up.

I play a few sports, mainly just PuG though with a mate when ever he needs me as he plays in about 30 different comps/sports through out the year.
Normally its just Cricket, Lawn Bowls, Ten Pin Bowling, Indoor Netball, Volley Ball, Touch Footy, Tennis, Soccer.
I enjoy playing all sports so I just do what ever I can, but because my schedule is always so up and down, I never commit to anything.. Except ten pin bowling but thats cause me and my mates are really good at it. We joined a comp about 8 weeks late (32 week comp), we played 14 or so weeks and we were coming first and this is against people who take it seriously, we left due to our disbelief in bowling etiquette and how annoying other people were.

I'm back playing hockey, and so far, we're actually doing well! We've won 2 out of 2 games...
Plus I'm playing basketball for the first time in years! Haven't won a game yet, and did miss the last game for work reasons (had to go to Sydney with an hour's notice for work training), but it is a lot of fun.

Played my first game in the field (not as a goalie) for the first time in years! And boy I am buggered! Played left back and right wing...ended up losing 4-0, but after one of our players had to go to hospital after being hit in the neck with a ball, the game got called off.

It just means that you are bringing a thread back up that hasn't been posted in for a while.

We only have 5 teams in our soccer comp this year.. pretty pathetic because 4 make the semis.

Started out more of a bowler, opener/first change depending on the team I was in. Use to be a pretty ordinary batter at times, but improved as I got older. Bat around 5-7, go in for a good time not a long time , but when I put my head down I could build an innings. Once scored 53* in about 10 overs without scoring a run on the off-side lol. Included an over of 4-4-6-dot-4-3 all over midwicket
Probably my strongest thing is my fielding though. Probably one of not many cricketers who actually enjoy it a fair bit. Except on the days when ur stuck out there on 40 degree days for 85 overs and the other team is 3-350

Yeah, I don't get that either. My Cricket comp only has five teams aswell and four teams make the finals. Same thing has happened with footy before.

havent played since school. but middle order batsman and 1st change bowler. Technically i was a poor man's all rounder (i was heaps slow at scoring and nothing special with the ball), but i like to think of myself as a specialist fielder :P

The only cricket I have ever played is muckaround games. The games are too long & they are played in scortching heat half the time.
I usually open, keep and occasionally bowl.
Keeping to Ellyse Perry is easily one of the scariest things. But it's better than batting against her bowling that's for sure.
