Sharks snare Kimmorley
SMH | Tuesday, 5 June 2007

Brett Kimmorley is set for a double celebration today, with the Cronulla captain expected to be recalled to the NSW Origin team and agreeing to a new $A500,000 ($NZ538,000) deal with the Sharks after five-eighth Adam Dykes quit the club.

Im just curious as to why the Sharks would waste so much money on him?? $500,000!?!?!?!? What is Buderus on. What was Johns on? Goodness Gracious!!! Surely he's only WORTH about $350,000-$400,000???

Sorry Champ. I moved it here, thought it might be more appropriate here.

I think its a 2 Year Deal. So its only around 200-250,000 a season.

I thought that the article ment $500 000 a season not all together.

If it is season that is way way 2 much. I just don't see him as THAT good a player. No were near the league of Buderus Thurston etc who are on less then that.

If it is $250 000 a season that seems fair.

It must mean 250 a season! Because weren't they going to not even sign him a few days ago? Some hoo-ha, anyway.

Yeah they weren't going to a few days ago, and then Dykes walked out (and signed with an English club) and therefore they had more money. I sure as hell hope it means that its $250 000 a year and not $500 000

Its not every season. The total amount divided by no. of seasons. If they payed it on yearly basis then he would surpass people like Thurston and lockyer.

Yeah it is per season. He stayed with the sharks 4 much less then what the broncos were offering him. Rumoured 2 be about $400 000 a season.
